Why is it that the first evidence that a GSD is gaining confidence and feeling at home comes from irritating their person?
Sweep is definately feeling more welcome. Wecome enough that she is starting to be fairly picky in certain ways. For instance, it didn't take long for her to decide she prefers the inside over the outside. Day one I had to pick her up and carry her inside and out. Day four she would go outside by herself once the door is open. Today's action when the door was opened? Glance outside, glance at me, second glance outside, then a meander back into the bedroom. Uh, No. put the leash on her. lead her outside, take the leash off and zoom, she slips behind me and returns to the bedroom, where she meets all requests that she go into the back yard with a dumb look. Now, I can't help thinking that the first sign that she is feeling secure and safe should be slavish devotion to her staff-er-human. No. Not GSD's. The first sign THEY feel secure and safe is that they try to make everything more to their liking. Jeez. Jelpy & the Mesquite Mafia

Thats okay I woke up to pouring rain. Mine eat, race out to go potty, track mud in the house and proceed to let me know it's time to play by grabbing my DH's sock and parading around with it like they just won something. I tell Zoe no walk yet it's raining. She yips, zooms around, jumps on DH, and just finally has settled down. This rain better stop or today is going to be an extra special good time in the house
