She does It to me everytime. I’m putting everyone out and find Allie missing. I go back into the bedroom to find she is (of course) draped across the bed. I take her collar to escort her outside and BOOM! She hits me with the velvet eyeballs. You know: the eyes get all chocolate colored and soft, the ears go down and your GSD silently communicates to you the awful cruelty of your act, the hardship you are inflicting. Sometimes she tosses in a soft, pathetic whine as well. How am I supposed to challenge that?

that is a great name for it! Molly does that every night when it's time for her to go to bed....in her crate!!!
