Ares X-rayied for HD. What is your opinion ?
So my dog is 10 month old male german shepherd called Ares. His back is moving up and down when he is walking slow somewhere in the area of the butt. This is the X-ray of his hip joints. He is also turning his right leg in when walking. I would love to hear your opinion! Here you can see the picture : Angelov_Stoyan_1-1 - ????? (2).bmp - ????????? ?? ?????? ? ????????

Awkward puppy stage? he will build muscle and be less clumsy. I am not an expert, but those look great.

If you look at this pups back legs about 1:10 min. it is something like that . I'm so concerned about him even with those x-rays done .

He is at a gangly stage right now. I would let him grow and develop a little muscle. There does seem to be something on the top right of the last lumbar vertebra that looks odd to me......maybe someone can look at that.....probably something normal but it is in view because the pelvis is tilted in the x-ray.......

the x rays look great -- post a picture of your dog , the problem may be in the conformation

Hips look good. The pelvis is rotated, which is making one of the ilial wings look like it's partly detached on what I believe is the left side based on the marker. He has a lot of poo too in that picture, which makes judging the area around the sacrum a little tougher lol.

My boy is in that gangly phase too. He's all rear end and elbows right now. I keep freaking myself out with how he is moving, but he's agile and tough. Some days he splays out, falls on his face, other silly things, but when I x-rayed his hips, they looked fine. My boy some days looks a lot like yours. It is easy to be concerned a lot of the time. I work for veterinary surgeons. It is hard not to jump to the worst conclusion first.

He's got no muscle mass back there. What are you doing for exercise?
