Ha, yeah, the horse I USED to ride was 16.3. Right now I'm on a teeny tiny little pony, but we work well together.

A lot of it has to do with the way you carry yourself and your confidence, not just size. Baxter, at 90lbs, is very manageable for me. He's practically a nightmare for Sam at times, who is almost 6'. Us short people have some spirit! At least that's been my experience, coming from a family where one sister is 4'7", one is 4'9", my mom is only 4'11", etc. Being 5'1" makes me close to a giant.

You look nice, btw
Yep, that's it. I envy those who can just look at a camera and be totally natural. Me, I am so freaking conscious of how to smile, not to smile, face muscles, teeth, etc, .like totally stiff sort of thing. It's ridiculous. So I have been practicing because while looking at pictures taken over several years, I realized I wasn't in them. LOL. It's funny really and pathetic at the same time. Thanks Karenzv.

Lol, yep, exactly! It's the spirit, the confidence, and the 'can do' attitude. I never had an issue.... even when I was 3 years old, I was on the back of a 15.2hh horse. I ride ponies a lot because I am experienced and I can... this way they don't run the kids around while being trained. As much as I really enjoy them (they are little spitfires)... I love the big horses!
