we don't have cats because my GF is allergic to them.
my neighbor lets our dog in their house so he can chase
their cats. he goes in and the chase is on. afterwards
the cats and our dog are stretched out on the livingroom floor.

OOOOooooo! Most of my pics are on my netbook with the broken power cord dammit... I'll have to come back with more stuff, but for now here:

BTW, the LC GSD is Emma. At one point when I was looking for a new place to live I had someone tell me that they thought Emma was aggressive and dangerous but loved Tessa and I, and if I would rehome Emma they would love for me and Tessa to move in. This was based on Emma having chased their kitten, when they let her into the house without telling me they were doing so and Emma had never been around a cat previously. They felt Emma was aggressive and would chase and bite her daughter due to the behavior around the cat.

I've fostered many cats since then. Emma and my cat Ziva are great friends now, though when Ziva was super little she was afraid of Emma. But now she loves to play and will seek out Emma to play with.

I think it really depends on the cat's attitude more than the dogs. If the cat owns the place, the dog respects it. If the cat runs...game on!
My senile cat finally decided she owned the place/after 17 yrs.
Karlo loves her and is obsessed with her. My other dogs could care less unless she runs.

I have another torti long hair that chooses to live in the lower level. She is so pretty but won't venture out where the dogs are. She has her claws, and should learn they have power.

doggiedad I completely understand many people in my family are allergic, but it's great that your dog gets to run and chase after the cat and gets along with them even though he or she wasn't brought up around them you must have a pretty good dog there

Kzoppa Loved the pics so cute that they together wish mine would do that.. maybe 1 day they will surprise me

I've posted many pics of my Maine Coon with the different dogs. I have two cats, but he's the only one who will cuddle with the dogs. The top picture was taken about a week ago. The bottom pic is of him at 3 months old with one of the foster dogs.
