I joined this forum for one reason ONLY and it was because of my GSD and because I love all GSD's. I want to see your dog! I don't care what color, line, if he is from a BYB'er, or a Reputable breeder, fat, skinny, or just right, long haired or short haired, within the breed standard or not, just show me why you are here….show me your dog!
Blackcat, that picture of your Bay-that is the look that I have been trying to capture with my GSD. I don't know of any dog that can equal that cute factor when discovering or examining something that interests them quite like the GSD can. I will be able to grab my camera and capture that look one day when my dog is doing it-it is my goal! Great shot!
My pack!Daisy 12 and Lucky between 9 and 10. Lucky is the black and tan boy and Daisy is the light sable, learned that here. Daisy is the princess and Lucky is a toy boy.

This is my reason for joining....I was researching HD as my vet had misdiagnosed Onyx(horrid positioning!). Because of this board, I learned so very much about health, temperament and training
Why I am here!
Ruger! (pics at 8 months) Both the in door pictures and the pictures outside were taken today. Its interesting how lighting and environment can change how a dog looks in a picture!
there are so many wonderful dogs on here . Great thread. Really great pics a nd videos.
PS BlackCat Norwegians Elkhounds are my second favorite dog in the world .
The funny thing is, when we got Silver from the shelter, we didn't know what a Norwegian Elkhound was. They had him listed as a GSD mix, so that is what we called him. Even my vet thought the same thing. Later on, someone on another web board I frequent posted a photo of their NE and he looked like Silver's brother. I did a little more research and learned a lot about this really neat breed.
This is Katja my 2nd Foster dog. She came from a puppy mill authorities closed and confiscated all their dogs from. Katja was kept in a shed all her life and as far as we knew did not experience love and respect. I came to this board trying to learn so I could respond to her correctly and help her overcome issues so she could be adopted. She found a great home but unfortunately came down with cancer and passed away several months after she had been adopted.
I joined the forum once I purchased our lil boy Thor, and before I picked him up, wanted to learn as much as possible from others on here, and have enjoyed and appreciate the advice given to me from day one...Here U go, but he's not so lil anymore...
