Hey Readers:

Just an update--Shepherd Girl: A Dog Story is NOW available in an audio format! If you or anyone you know prefers "books on tape" (do they still even call them that?), my audio book is now available on Amazon, and very soon, iTunes. I decided to add audio format, because now my mom's very sweet, vision-impaired friend can "hear" my story finally.

I did NOT read my book myself; rather, I hired a professional narrator named Christine Driscoll, who has a fantastic voice and whose rendering of my words left me laughing out loud in several places. I was asked "why didn't YOU read it?" to which I answered "Uh..{loud, wet, squelchy mouth noises, abrupt painful exhales of loud breath, barking and/or meowing sounds in the background}..um.." Basically, all those reasons. I don't have a studio, and when I've heard myself on a microphone during a reading, I unknowingly make all kinds of horrible noises and "Um and Uhhh's". Until you try it, you don't even KNOW how many times you say "Uh" or runoutofbreath. I figured it would be best to leave it to a professional :laugh:
