My precious special little girl is TEN. TEN YEARS OLD TODAY. Who knew how much this Shepherd girl would enrich my life? And who knew that when I had that awful first night with her when I wanted to return her bitey, stinky ass back to the breeder that she would turn into the best decision I ever made?
Shhhh... don't tell her, but she's getting a dry-aged filet mignon tonight for dinner (I even got her a "10" candle for it!). :D

First off, thank you to all the well-wishers who helped me celebrate Athena's 10th birthday! The video link is me singing "Happy Birthday" to my excited, squirming wiggle worm. I don't really blame her--the steak was a $27 dry-aged filet mignon from the Wegman's (an East Coast grocery store) butcher counter. I had some people ask "why didn't you film her eating it?" The answer being, it would have been an extremely short video haha.
