Default I'm Baaaa-aaaaaack and Tsssch!

Hey Gang-

Just signed up for another few months of posting here on this forum (yay!).

Shepherd Girl News:

I got my first fan letter the other day (and not from my mom). VERY cool.

Keep your fingers crossed--I contacted Cesar Millan's "people" (his PR firm), asking if I could send Cesar a copy of the book, and they actually answered with something more than a form letter--they wrote "Sure, send a copy, and we'll make sure Cesar gets it." So I did. I hope they give it to him! I know he's a fan of the breed. I think he'll frown and go "tssssch" a lot if he reads it. I wasn't the best pack leader in my clueless early years with Athena.

Athena news: Athena likes to play in the hose/baby pool in the Summer time, which is fun, but what ISN'T fun is that she tends to get HOT SPOTS really easily after swimming. She has a nasty one that was buried under all that fur, so she's now shaved and on antibiotics . Under my chapter "Common in German shepherds" I forgot to include hot spots. Sigh. Anyone else's GSD ever have this problem???
------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, hope you all are having a great summer, and please be sure to pick up a copy of Shepherd Girl: A Dog Story if you want a fun, easy pool-side read!

Feel free to drop me a line about the book, about Athena, or about anything Shepherd.
