If I don't go to a breeder again, I'd prefer the next dog to come from the pound as they don't freak out that I have an intact dog, like the local GSD rescue does.

Could be Panosteitis, a bone growth issue that resolves itself as they mature but you need to make sure that it is this and nothing else more serious, so take him to the vet for x rays to make sure.

I have know several Tervurens and Groenendaels; it is hit and miss. Check out the parents carefully to get an idea. Had a Mali in the past; never again, too intense.
I prefer the more laid back GSDs.

We go to various areas all the time and wasps can show up anywhere, especially if the dogs go off the trail. Once I know where there were wasps I try to avoid them of course or keep the dog with me.
