Our trial is just around the corner. This will be my first trial as a helper and 2nd time as a handler(BH). Getting nervous! I just certified as a regional helper under Carl Smith last August with a fellow club member. It was tough! We had to run several laps, probably about 3/4 of a mile before working 4 dogs back to back I believe. Hard to imagine I didn't know how to drive, much less wear a sleeve less than year ago. Had some great coaching from my club members. We have 3 wda regional level helpers and 1 dvg helper at our club now.
