We decided to let Uma try out the wedge at practice recently. She was pretty funny to watch as she spent quite a bit of time with her head cocked trying to figure out what the crazy guy in the overalls was doing. She finally got her shot at the wedge and I was very pleased. Very nice deep bite and calmly held it with her tail swishing back and forth. She has firmly decided this is her new favorite thing LOL.
Good puppy! ![]() Annette

Go Uma! If that wedge was any smaller, she'd swallow it, LOL!

The funny thing is how she puts her ears back in a very contented manner when she had the wedge. The dog I named her for (Marek von Haus Antverpa IPO3) did that and I always loved it. It's a small thing, but made me happy. Like Marek was saying "hey mom, I'm in here, too". I just stood there petting Uma and cooing to her until my husband finally had to tell me to out her so we could do it again LOL.
I'm sure other GSDs do it as well, but it was such a part of Marek's being that I always think of her happy way of doing bite work. Annette
