Generally more information is needed before people will help. Where the dog is coming from, who the dog is going to, what screening has been done of the receiving shelter, rescue or adopter, etc. People can still help without that information of course, but that is a "do you know where that dog is going to" issue that most now, thankfully, are a little more careful about.

Binghamton and Wilkes Barre are UNDER WATER! These people need to hold this dog until the water recedes and not risk lives. My son was on 81 into Dallas last night and that road is clear but you won't be able to get into Wilkes-Barre.

Err, yeah...they better rethink those Sunday plans. There is no guaratee they will be getting into that area!

I've never heard of this rescue before. Anyone else?

Sorry I didn't know much about these people. Will get more info next time. I did speak to someone and told them that Binghamton was closed to all traffic.

They need to check the road closings. 88 MIGHT be open and I think 81 is but there is no reason to risk their lives and the dogs. Just hold them for a few days until the water goes down and the damage is assessed. The water has completely destroyed many roads and undermined bridges.
