Pilots N Paws|Saving the Lives of Innocent Animals
Volunteer general aviation rescue transport
Distance is about 625 land miles, so two legs for general aviation.
You might drive a bit towards a small General Aviation airport outside of Baltimore to pick him up.
If you post the transport request today, he might still get a lift this weekend, before the pilots have planned their weekends.

I'd post the request in any case, even if you work parallel on land transport, in case one falls through.

Thank you, MAGSR

My daughter just moved back to Missouri from Houston (800 miles) They have changed the rules on planes. No carriers in cargo anymore. The animal has to be small enough for their cage or crate to fit under the seat now, which is rediculous. You can't even bring a medium sized cat anymore.
Anyway, I looked desperately for a descent price, but all of the transport companies wanted at least $500.00 just to move the cat. I found this website where you post your pet transport need and budget, then companies and individuals will bid on it until you get a price you are happy with. The website is uship.com. The private guy I ended up using was awesome. Only charged me $250 for my daughters cat, aquarium and fish placed in a cooler. He was on time, professional and took good care of the critters. Said he would appreciate referrals. His e-mail address is: kylestotler@yahoo.com

BTW, I trust this particular guy and would use him again and would recommend him to anyone. But, if you do use an individual I personally would never pay in advance. COD is a good incentive for the transporter to get the animal to it's destination safely and on time. I would also ask for references
