I just recieved this email from the family after asking them to help with the first leg of the transport....
Quote:
Quote: Hello,

After reading your email my mother feels that it would be psychologically damaging for Champ to take this journey. I am sorry for any disappointment this may bring you. But, I feel you would agree that Champ's well-being is the most important factor in this decision.

Thank You,
Tracy

I would love to email this lady and let her know how we pull dogs out of GA shelters and transport them to rescues in NY all in one weekend.

She would probably try and charge us with animal cruelty.

How considerate of them! I wonder if it ocurred to them that dumping the dog can be psychologically damaging (compared to transport). Shelters can be hard to deal with, but owner surrenders beat the worst shelters.

I prefer to deal with shelters for more than one reason. I just hope they actually got him a great home. There will be another in need we all know that....
