Mods please move if not allowed becuase it's not a GSD.
Maybe some of my friends here will remember my stories about the pig people who used to live in the back yard. I installed fence weave to keep myself from looking at their nasty blue mattress leaning outside for the previous 6 months and all their other junk. They had a sweet pitbull puppy named Tequila and they weren't at all kind to her. Quila was always tied on a heavy chain to the front porch. One day I heard the guy screaming and hitting her for sitting in her own poop. How he expected her to avoid that when he never cleaned it up, I dunno. She was always getting loose and coming to the fence to play with Morgan -who didn't take kindly. Every time I heard or saw anything to do with this dog, I was thinking, poor thing there's a way to make a mean dog before you dump her in the shelter. There was a window breaking, fence shaking, spanish screaming, that's my sister fight in the begining of the summer. After that, they moved, leaving me with the Taco Dog issues that I've since resolved with my friends in the PD. Fast forward to halloween, we met the guy who lives in the cottage next door. Didn't think anything of it until I saw him walking a week ago with a pitbull. Morgan went off, not a normal reaction for her with a dog she doesn't know so I took a closer look. I asked him 'Is that Quila?' He said yeah but I couldn't talk to him becuase Morgan wanted a piece of that puppy. Today when I was walking with the dogs, I met him again riding his bike, without Quila. He told me what a great friendly girl she is and how every one keeps thanking him for taking her in when the pig people moved. I told him I was pretty sure she'd been abused and he said, that explains why she freaks out every time I raise my arms to play chase with her. The poor thing. Then he went on to say he doesn't understand why people treat dogs like that, especially Quila becuase she's such a sweet heart. Oh and he keeps her in the house because the taco dogs bark too much! He was rolling his eyes about the taco dog people! I thought I'd share this story becuase this puppy had been wearing on my heart wondering what happened to her when the pig people left. It's nice to see her with someone who loves her.

So glad she landed on her feet! It makes me so angry when folks just do not care for their dogs.

Makes me angry too. Especially with this one becuase she was such a sweet friendly puppy. I did everything I could to help her when she was still with the pig people but where their front porch is, the only people who could actually see him hitting her were the people in the cottage and no one was living there. My friend Jay went over there in uniform to talk to the the guy about how to treat a dog, nothing happened to change their ways.
So I'm so happy for Quila, such a sweet pup!
