Hi All,
The yams continue to do well and slowly learning to be social They continue to panic with people but we started walking with the neighbor's Newfoundland "puppy", all 168lbs of him, hWe make quite a he is being a good role model and calming presence for them. We are quite a sight 2 beautiful white shepards, a Newfoundland, and me (I'm 5'1"). LOL! With this update I'm asking for help. I need a house/dog sitter from 5/26-5/30 and 5/31-6/4. I'm running out of friends to ask.... I bought a ticket to see my Mom in Oregon about 3 weeks ago. The person I had to house/dog sit is no longer available. Soooooooooo...... if anyone can or knows someone who can sit please let me know. I am in Petersham, MA. I have a beautiful log cabin on a couple of acres on a dead end street. It's very quiet and peaceful. Think of it as a lovely vacation or retreat ![]() Petersham is in Central MA near Athol and Gardner MA. (NW from Worcester) Please let me know if you can HELP! Sandy and the Yams PS- I posted pics of them on the Echo Facebook page... I still can't figure how to get photo bucket to download here. I did see the posting on this but the page has changed..... |

Hi Sandy,
I will only give this advice if you post more pictures and tell more Yam stories! ...... You need to make a separate post b/c people won't see it here. I know that there are people in your general area and while they may not be able to dogsit themselves they might be able to recommend someone. I think you could put it in the "General Information" section and title it "Looking for Dogsitter in Petersham, MA." If I still lived in the area I would be happy to do it.

Thanks for the help!!!
![]() 2 quick stories....... The yammies are getting "territorial" ....... When someone knocks on the door they bark, then run down the stairs, find me, bark again to tell me someone is there, and then run upstairs to hide on the bed, Right now they are upstairs on my bed and I can hear the "fighting" over a soggy sock.... despite all their toys it is still their favorite. |

You made my day! I just found the updates! WhooHoo!
Email Terry (Echo) she may have an idea about a house sitter. Did you get to the reuinion picnic? I've been wondering about my girls and how they are doing. I'm so surprised that Momma is the more at ease with strangers than Honey. Their antics are hysterical....you really should write a kids book about them. You've done a wonderful job with them and I think you needed them as much as they needed you!

You hit the nail right on that one....
I'm confident I'll find a good doggy sitter from Echo..... I'm worried about being gone so long but it is my Mom's 75th in Oregon. It's going to be good to see her but I will be so happy to be home too.... |
