Ladies and Gentlemen,
Please allow me to introduce to you my new foster dog "Ruby" (drum roll please) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the girl that was listed in the Urgent forum, in Appling, Georgia. The first picture is dark, because we pulled into my garage, and I was afraid to open the car door, fearing she might get past me. So I closed the garage door, before I let her out. She winked at me. ![]() I have named her Ruby, (my birthstone). She will always be my first foster, rather I do it again or not. So a special link to me, was my birthstone. The vet said she is about 8 months old. She was picked up as a stray. She is a bit thin. She is loving and follows me everywhere I go. She is asleep at my feet. She has no manners, but that will change. We went for a walk, she walked me, that too will change. Now, my job is to help her become all she can be (a little Army humor) to eventually be a wonderful companion. I do not know how long I will have her, so I think the most important thing I can do is the NILIF. That seems to be the best place to start. It's been a long time, since I have done any basic training. So I am off to read and refresh my memory. Any tips or advice is appreciated. I like having her here. She makes me smile.

Gorgeous girl! She was really breaking my heart and I am SOOOOO happy you saved her! She is a dead ringer for my boy Leo, who is a Bartow GA urgent board find. He was also 8 months when we got him. He is now my son's dog and is truly one of the sweetest natured GSDs I've ever met. Congrats on Ruby (one of my favorite names!) - she's lovely!

LOVE the first picture!!! Congrats and just remember to stay strong. The first foster is one of the hardest ones to let go! I'm sure you will get the welcome package with all the email addresses, but if you need to email me before then, email me at lori@nobleshepherdrescue.com and I'll give you support in any way I can. Way to go and I'm so glad to have you on board!!!
