VGSR's Annual Reunion Picture

VGSR had it's annual reunion today, here is a picture of the big event...

Is Maxine there? She stayed, along with her puppies for a couple of nights before leaving for NC and Virginia to go to your rescue.

If she was there, I did not get a chance to speak to her. It was a beautiful, crazy day.

When we took the photo, quite a few dogs had already left and a bunch more were down playing on the agility field.

Next year I want to get everyone on the hill at the same time.

The dog that is front and center (closest to the camera) is Sable, who is the our logo dog that appears on all of the T-shirts and stuff that our rescue sells to make money. Her folks traveled almost 5 hours to join us. She is the very first dog that was saved by VGSR back in 2001.

It was a gorgeous day and we were surrounded more than 100 fabulous previously discarded GSDs who are now very much loved by their new families. What a wonderful day!

Wow, great picture and what a turn out. Everyone associated with VGSR should be proud!

Thank you VGSR for saving them all! I think that is a very emotional picture... knowing that because of the love and hard work of all the VGSR folks and adopters these dogs were saved!

Yeah, when you think about the fact that if it was not for the efforts of fabulous volunteers of VGSR, the 150 or so dogs that attended the reunion that day would have been destroyed.

But thanks to everyone's hard work and dedication, everyone had a beautiful day to spend with their beautiful dogs. I could not possibly be more proud.

Ohhhhh, look at all those dogs that were saved and are in their forever homes. I agree with Cindy - that is a very emotional picture. VGSR - you should be very proud!!! Nice job...
