Hello everyone, I have a GSD that just came in that I need immediate help with. It is emaciated, appears to have hip dysplasia, an abyss under it's neck, and the guy who found it said it hasn't eaten in a week. <span style="color: #FF0000"> If anyone can help me I need to get it moved by 5 today. </span> It isn't doing very well. Per Shelter:

"The dog is a female. I just found out. I only know what I wrote in the original email. We did give her some can food and she scarfed it down."

My understanding is the shelter is not sure what is on her neck - guessing an abyss.

Sidenote: This is the second email today that have I received where a GSD is being referred to by the shelter personnel as IT!!!

Her neck looks like there is a draining or perhaps, partially open, abscess.

If anyone can take, there is a local rescue group call Animal Adoption League (mynextpet@yahoo.com) who could help get the dog to a vet potentially. They pull from this shelter very, very, very frequently. If you can help, call Tracy and ask her about this. 803-628-3190.

BUMP! 5 pm is two hours away. There is a $75.00 donation towards her vet care if a reputable rescue can help her.

PS. Thanks Shannon for correcting abscess - I was copying from shelter email and not thinking.
