I don't know what to say...I keep going back and looking at her sweet face...the thought of her suffering in the gas chamber makes me ill...
It's a horrible horrible death..........

I would give everyone the owner's name and number, in an attempt to get her to change her mind...but given she is our only hope of getting her out if something works out today, I won't...can't afford to make her an enemy right now. For Lucy's sake.

Per AC as to why they won't release to rescue:
This only difference is because we are not able ourselves to release this one to a rescue group due to its aggressive nature. If the owner doesn’t come and reclaim it, it would have to be euthanized. Once an owner reclaims an animal, they can do whatever they want to with their animal. Normally, animals that are surrendered by the owner are okay to pull because they don’t have extreme “issues” so to speak. In those cases we can allow groups to pull those animals. In other cases, like Thor’s for instance, he was attacked by another animal, he wasn’t the “aggressor”, so the Administrator felt that it would be okay to release that one to a rescue group. I did email back...as there was never an AC investigation that I am aware of, and the owner admitted to me that the datschund had antagonized Lucy in the past.....so how do they know that Lucy started it? |
