In 2003 I adopted a senior lab from Newark - the staff work really hard for the dogs in their care. I had driven from NC, and stayed overnight. They had Jim ready for me early so I could get him home that same day. Unfortunately Jim had cancer and passed away 16 months later - when I wrote and told the shelter staff they still remembered Jim and I ....

Does his front paw closest to the screen here look strange? Its hard to tell from pics- just looked a bit different to me. Then again, I am running off several hours of sleep and need to get some!!
Either way- this boy looks so sweet and he is absolutely gorgeous!

Um, both his front hocks look very down, almost deformed. It's like they bend much further back than they should.
