I am so happy that dogs are rescue and so loved. You filled his years with love and what more could you ask for and look what you got too. Give him little more rub on the head from Basil and I, Your picture are beautiful of him... and the blog was awesome...it great to see happy times for a dog..

glad to say that the long weekend was a good one for the shepster, both our vets were closed and out of town for the holiday, we were concerned that he would crash and we'd have to make a trip to the animal ER...but thank goodness that didn't happen. today he's been a bit quiet, tonight he fell asleep earlier than usual. one day at a time. this is yesterday...

Look at that sweet boy - he's just begging for a tummy rub! (And I'd like to be the one giving it to him.) Hang in there katieliz, I know the stress of dealing with an ill, elderly dog. It's the ups and downs that get you down and wear you out.

 just to close the thread...the shepster went to the bridge on june 9th. what a wonderful dog he was and i thank, from the bottom of my heart, whoever posted him here when i rescued him. rest in peace bud. your mom loves you.

 It hurts so much when we have to say goodbye - but in your memory Shep will live on.
