After Star passed, Sadie started chasing her tail, then obsessively licking it, and it became infected. Eventually, Paul became immersed in caring for Sadie, who eventually needed to have her tail amputated after multiple hospitalizations at Angel Memorial. She's doing well again, and there's been some talk that Sadie needs another friend. Paul says he'll be more open to another dog once spring arrives, or sooner if the right match for he and Sadie drops out of the sky.

Oh my goodness this is so sad. Poor Sadie. Gosh..how tragic. I am glad she is recovering but gosh...I pray the right doggie will cross Paul and Sadie's paths this year to where there can be laughter in the house again.
