Default my rescue puppy

I am calling him Darius for now and will see how it goes. I picked him up tonight. I paid for him but he is a rescue for sure! I am happy I saved him from his sorry life. He is between 12-16 weeks I think. He was chained on the side yard of this house, and it is starting to rain and will keep raining through the end of the week! He is so afraid of everything people especially. He just cringes if I get near him! AND he is limping!! I really hope I can help him through this! He acted as if he had been hit when I tried touching him!
He is way to skinny, it's like he hasn't eaten in a few days.
I brought him home and let him outside for a bit while I got his crate upstairs by my bed. I had to go find him hiding in the shadows on the side of my house and pick him up and bring him in. He is now sleeping in the crate right here by the side of my bed. I will give an update in the morning but know he is safe and warm now!

Thank you for saving this puppy. Give him time... he will come out of his shell. Love and patience will work wonders.

Jakoda, no it is the same puppy, she changed her mind again and had to get rid of him, I could tell from all the back and forth that this guy needed help!
His breathing has finally settled down! He was heavy panting most of the night! He stinks! I will try to see if he will eat something soon. He wouldn't take treats from me last night but could have been just nerves.
I will keep you posted!

Well he went outside in the wet and he seems to have wanted to stay out there as far away from people as possible! He has some fear aggression. He didn't want to have anything to do with food or water. He did go poo and it is very runny, I will monitor that but I think it is due to poor quality food. I will have to do some research today to find some good food. I stopped at Target last night and got him toys a leash and collar, bowls, and food. I got purina one, just a small bag.
He wants to stay in the crate, I know that is because he feels safe in there and that is fine so I will let him stay there. the door is open and I am sitting here typing and researching so he will just get used to me. My daughter is wandering around and we are chatting and the kitties are eating albeit they are mad!
Darius has a kong with PB and a few snacks but he wont touch it.
He is not hyperventilating like he was all night, he is just chillin now. We shall see.

I am so glad you got him! The poor baby! I know it's probably going to be scary for him, but a vet visit might be worth it soon, the diarrhea is not a good sign. Is he vomiting also? Parvo is a scary thing, and I am sure he did not get vaccinated for it. Hopefully it is just whatever he had been fed. If he is most comfortable in his crate, maybe you could try feeding him a bit in there.

Fantastic! I am so glad you rescued him. I wanted to give you some encouragement. Here are the before and after pictures of Jericho. He too had a slight limp when I got him to go along with his host of other "problems", but has grown out of the limp and the majority of the other problems. While he still has some massive separation issues, for all intents and purposes, he is a normal healthy happy pup. I know from your other thread, that you were interested in training him for agility. I've just started training Jericho and he's excelling at it. I think once your pup learns that you are his savior he will blossom and amaze you. I know Jericho sure has. It absolutely warms my heart that you took the chance on this little guy. Congratulations to you both.
