Wow I just found the first thread and this follow up thread and am blown away! How inspiring! Looking at the first few pictures of her so sad and shy, then the first smiling picture and now the final photo- what an amazing story! You rock!

This is the last Gretchen photo I will post. She is now at her forever home, and I admit- I am quite sad to see her go. This must be the hardest part of the foster process and while handing her over I couldn't help but be flooded by the thought that I should have adopted her myself. Had Pimg liked her better (or... at all) I might have been persuaded.

Dream of good times we had, and many, many more new experience with your new owner baby girl!

Gretchen's adopter emailed me to let me know she has renamed Gretchen to 'Parker' and that she is adjusting well. I gave them Pimg's crate pad since Gretchen (Parker) was very used to it and it had a lot of value for her. She's seeking it out to lay on for a nap, and slowly but surely looking to her adopter for security and comfort. Gretchen (Parker) is enjoying running around their backyard and is recalling "beautifully!"

With that, I'll let this thread go. Just a quick update.

Wildo take that picture of Gretchen and blow it up and put that on your wall. Everytime you look at it let that image fill you with the peace and contentment that you gave this dog -- best gift ever . You did that .
