The vet is not sure at this point. They could be bite wounds or caused by a severe ear infection which he scratched open himself. The animal control is trying to get more info. on his story.

UGH - poor soul. He must be spoken for today or what? Euth? If he was found in a car it should be possible to trace the owner (of the car at least.)

Southern Cross is working on getting this boy out and to safety. I'm told Molly will give us an update tonight.

My Murphy did almost as much damage to himself during one evening - we were in the other room watching tv- it appears that he was bitten by a red ant and/or spider. Required extensive cleaning and antibiotics plus shaving - I was in disbelief but my vet said it is unbelievable what damage a dog can do to himself - anyway, Murphy healed - took care and cleaning and quite sometime. Not saying that this is what happened in this case but even I was insisting that he must have been bitten and his long fur hid it, etc.
Will donate to Southern Cross to help this guy.

Poor baby, do they know who owned the car? I am not even going to ask who would lock a injured dog in a care!

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.
