Posted on Thursday, January 06, 2011 #113 is a male tri-color shepherd mix that was picked up on Hwy. 635 on December 29. He is a large dog that is only around 2 years old. This is a very beautiful, very friendly boy. He is currently available for adoption.

He was only posted on the shelter page yesterday, one week after intake. He is the only one listed as 'extremely urgent' rather than 'urgent'

With such a close up photo, it's impossible to say whether he is purebred or not. In dubio pro cane...

Transport to the NE available:

*****TRANSPORT TO THE NORTH EAST******

There is a PAID transport that picks up dogs from Pulaski County shelter. They transport to Hagerstown, MD, Mechanicsburg, PA, Hamburg, PA , Phillipsburg, NJ..and now up to Danbury, Ct at least once a month.

Cost goes by size of dog or pup not by crate.
All animals need to be healthy..like no kennel cough or other contagious things.

if they are old enough they need a rabies, started on their dhlpp shots and they need a health Certificate from the vet. Also wormed ahead of time if possible.

Pups...need to not have had a shot 10-14 days before transport. They risk breaking with parvo or other illness if the shot is too soon before the trip

He was spared last week (as far as I can tell, a litter of puppies and several other dogs were not) but today he is posted again on SITUATIONS REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ATTENTION - KY_CENTRAL, the shelter is full again. Extremely urgent.
