Meet Heidi-was urgent
Meet Heidi.. I got an email on this 2 to 3 yr old gorgeous girl who was an owner surrender in a rural shelter in SC. Her time was coming up without rescue and I saw her face and "That's all she wrote!".Director does Wonderful work in placing dogs with rescue groups.
Heidi was pregnant, had lived in a backyard pen most of her life and owner was disappointed he couldn't get puppies out of her. She was pregnant when she came to the shelter 2 weeks ago, whelped pups and they all died. She is HW Positive, very thin and will be undergoing treatment for heartworms and being spayed...Staff describes her as a 'leaner'..loves affection, mid to high energy and loves people... Thank you for saving Heidi! She is very pretty! I am sure that once she gets good groceries on a regular basis and some TLC she will shine!!

She has such a sweet face. You can see the love and hope there even the way she was treated in the past. I am glad you could save her, she deserves a great forever. Good luck with her!

Thank you Walton! This lovely young lady has probably never had a hug in her life - you have become her special angel. Very sad about the pups, but perhaps her recovery will be a little faster without having babies to take care of......
