I hope this bright looking girl gets a good home - and a new name! Who on earth names a dog (especially a female) Yooper?

I can foster her here if needed. How does that work?
Our foster for the local animal control just went back due to a drastic attitude change, he needs a foster w/o kids.

I just emailed hubby about getting her, hopefully we can figure this out. If I adopt her and then adopt her out again that is okay right?

Contact Katieliz on this forum. She knows the shelter manager and can probably call ahead and say this is a rescue case, give your info, and you will be able to pull her free of charge. I have pulled from this shelter before. The manager in Ionia is GSD and rescue friendly however you'd want to act fast because they adopt to anyone (don't have a screening process) and she's not supposed to "hold" dogs because there are so many.

Yes, if you pull her you can adopt her out, hopefully they will let you pull her as a "rescue". If you haven't done rescue though, I'd contact Kari Selinger of the MIGSDR and get the dog on her list so they can help with the adoption and screening.

I have pulled from here before but cannot foster. If necessary, I pull the dog and put it in boarding at my vet in Caledonia, $14/night.
