Griffin Pond Animal Shelter
967 Griffin Pond Rd Clarks Summit PA 18411 (570)586-3700 This is one very large, untrained, intact 2 - 3 years old male GS.He needs to learn some doggie manners but overall friendly if a little skittish. He did lay down on his own, but it was short lived. We could touch his ears, face, tail and lightly step on his paw and he couldn't care less. He seemed to preoccupied with getting out of the fenced in area we were in. Since he was brought in as a stray, and judging by the thickness of his coat my guess is he is used to being outside roaming around. He has an old injury to his ear, eye and head. The ear is the least of it. It's like a nick but from what? As for the eye it is deformed. I can see a good portion of the white of his eye that I shouldn't be able to see. (it's his right eye, left ear). There is an alarmingly large divot in his skull. Cause of the injury is unknown whether a birth defect or trauma injury.

unfortunately we have very limited rescue coverage in NE PA.

Well...first he's still on stray hold
second...space is always a factor here... there are lots of dogs in the back waiting...and no place on adoption floor..........
