This shelter is pathetic just pathetic..This poor mom and her pups. There are also other mom and pups there and one of the pic's circulating is three tiny tiny pups huddled together away from mom on the dang concrete..I pray they are all o.k and get out of there before they.......
One day last week they put down 80+ and that was the day after they also put down many.Society and there treatment of animals is beyond heartbreaking to me.Shelter workers need to respect and show compassion for the animals. They are the innocent lives who are paying the ultimate price for society ignorance.. Sry for the rant but this shelter just makes my heart skip a beat.. Plz someone save this mom and her little ones |

I am so with you on this! The shelter director is a very nice man, but most of the shelter workers here have little to no empathy - AT ALL! I have a few very bad experiences. I have witnessed from pretty nasty things at this shelter. (in person) and it is why I have such an avid dislike of this shelter. Most dogs don't make it out of this one, folks... and she is more than likely one of them as she has pups - unless, one of us can come to her rescue...
I have done all sorts of fostering... 29 dogs came through my home, last year -however, I have never done whelping or pups/mom this tiny... if I understand correctly, momma does a lot of the work for the first couple of weeks so the goal is to really take care of momma to make sure her life is easier - adequate nutrition and potty breaks - a full once over by the vet to make sure she is healthy etc. Pups need to be warm - have heard it best to handle them as little as possible during the first 3-4 weeks of life. Not sure I have all of this right - but I am thinking... truly thinking about this... any advice anyone?

That poor little family! The mother looks so sweet. I can't believe they wouldn't even get a blanket for the tiny, helpless, fragile pups and mom to lay on. Please, someone help these dogs before it's too late!
