I have raised 3 sets of puppies and it is easy the first few weeks just take care of the mom, so you are right about that. But then you have the beauty of watching these young personalities develop and that is so rewarding. The mom is worth saving!!! These puppies need to be on something if cardboard ONLY! I am in NC, will google where St. Pauls is!

If she and the pups were in my area I would take then in. I drive for rescues but NC is just too far for me to go right now

There's no way I could even foster at the moment (8 dogs with a paralysed lab coming on Thursday), but will happily help with transport, finding supplies etc. I'm off work tomorrow (Mon), but as it's MLK day I wonder if the shelter will be closed?

Another heartbreaker. The look in her eyes........someone mentioned recently that "show line" GSD's were in far greater need of rescuing than the sables - well folks, I'd say the numbers are starting to even out.
Not even a soft blanket to lay on. Poor Momma, a prayer for you and your babies....... __________________________________ Susan Anja GSD Conor GSD - adopted from this Board Blue GSD - waiting at the Bridge |

I wish I was in a position to foster Mom and litter but I am not able to do so right now.
