Default Grace from MAS Sends Holiday Greetings

Happy Holidays to all of her MAS friends from Grace.

It will be 7 years in March that I had Grace pulled from the Memphis Animal Shelter. I didn't even know about this board back then, but I believe she was posted in Urgent. Here's her MAS pic:

Hoping that 2010 will bring about change at MAS and a brighter future for the unfortunate souls who end up there.

Grace is the Mom and that is her baby that she was picked up with. I had them both pulled but the puppy, who I named Cassie, was sick and died before transport. RIP Cassie.

I remember Grace and Cassie's save. It was so sad about Cassie, but Grace looks wonderful.

Merry X-Mas from another eX-MAS survivor, Rudy. He was miserable with that scarf on.

Thank you. Grace was a high HW+ and we treated her and were only planning on fostering her, but we ran into some issues which appeared once she was healthy. But, Grace is very happy here and has let us know that this is her home. She lives a normal life with us and she knows that we will always protect her from bad things and bad people.

Seven years in March! Oh my goodness that's scary, how quickly the time has gone. I well remember the photo from the shelter, and how little Cassie didn't make it. Grace looks amazing now, so happy and beautiful. Thanks for the update! Happy holidays to you too - and also to handsome Rudy, I love the scarf!

Happy Holidays to all the MAS-kids! Grace and Rudy look wonderful!
I hope that the MAS GSDs will get more help in the year to come.

This year was sad for me. I lost my MAS forever foster Mickey and two other furkids. Mickey turned out to have some fear aggression issues that did not resolve after years of training and he decided that he was perfectly happy staying with me. He spent 4.5 happy years chasing many-many cuz balls, eating the best food (he was always hungry) and he especially loved burgers and chewing holes into doors. My neighbor made friends with him over 9 burgers that he would inhale in one sitting (no stomach upset after this).

These are some of my favorite photos of him

And this is his MAS photo. He was posted as senior, he was emaciated and heartworm positive. He was beaten with a leash and with hand and he remained sensitive to raised hands, sticks, leashes and strangers making fast movements towards him for the rest of his life. With some bribe in the form of burgers, he would make new friends pretty easily though.

Run free my sweet boy, we miss you. I hope there is an endless supply of cuz balls at the Bridge for you and the other furkids that left us too soon. Until we meet again...
