Jerry Lee, Princess Abby and Master Kobey??

Jerry Lee, whose wonderful owner recently helped us save two dogs that lived their entire lives on chains, is doing great. His new Dad saw these two fairly young male GSDs who only knew life at the end of a chain, so he bought the dogs from the guy and one of VGSR's angels, Brent (Gypsy's Dad on here) fostered them and found them both great homes.

Princess Abby came had had her photo taken with Santa at the Petsmart this year. She looks fabulous and her family is thrilled with her.

Master Kobey, although he is very well loved by everyone at the Sunrise Senior Center in Reston, has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Right now he is wearing a pain patch, but he is still doing his job by providing love to all of the residents, employees and visitors at the facility.

All of the puppies were adopted to wonderful homes and all twelve adoptions have been solid placements. Wahoo!

Yay! About the successful placements
No yay about Master Kobey and his diagnosis Glad that he's feeling well enough to do his job. The seniors, no doubt, really appreciate it. Good boy!

Is Kobey the older mix that was saved maybe about a year ago?

Thank you for posting this update. While I have tears in my eyes for Kobey, I am also happy for Jerry and Princess Abbey. Jerry, Princess Abby and Kobey are never far from my mind - I think of them often. I will never forget when Lisa (Noble Shepherd Rescue) brought them to my house to temp foster until they could be transported to Virginia. It was pouring down rain and she had gone back to get Jerry because he didn't want to come in the beginning. From where they came from, I don't think I have ever seen such "balanced dogs." And even tho Master Kobey was so matted,(Sinclaire cut a ton of mats out of him), he always appeared to have a smile on his face. I can picture that smile on his face right now. It was a joy to have had them stay for the short period of time they were here before transported to VA.

Thank you so much for the update on these three. While I am sad for Kobey, I know Kobey is in good hands and is well loved by many. I am sure he knows he is loved too.

Sweet, sweet Kobey. Yes, he's the collie mix who was abandoned with Jerry and Princess.
What a joy to have that baby here while he waited for his forever home.

Yes...I remember him! I remember how much you loved having him there and what nice things you said about him. I am so sad to hear he is sick Prayers that he continues to do well and feel well.
