 GINA - ID#A841163 I am an unaltered female, black and brown German Shepherd Dog mix. The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old. I have been at the shelter since Dec 11, 2009. This information is 1 hour old. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: A VOLUNTEER WROTE: Poor Gina only weighs 37 lbs.! What happened to her? She was found at a worksite, obviously starving, and then brought to the shelter. Yet, even in her emaciated state, she was found to be totally non aggressive and rated a No Concern at intake. And, she was a lovely model during her photo shoot in the back pen. Gina is an eight year old German Shepard, and you can see how beautiful she could be with some weight on her and taken care of the way she deserves. This sweet dog has been through enough and so needs to be in a loving home to recover from the life she's led. Please consider giving her that gift of a good life for the rest of her life!   Will these kind of things EVER stop?? Poor girl! She has earned her forever home beside a fire with a ball and bowl full of food! Hope someone finds a way to help her! Wish I wasnt so far away! 37 pounds!!  what a fighter!I know this is a long shot but I cant get this girl out of my mind. I just cant belive what all she has gone through, how many pups she has had etc. If there is no other hope for her, I can take this girl, actually it will be my mom and I. I will be her safety net! I also have a local celebrity that has several gsd rescues that would take this girl as well. He has also done macaw rescues. Ugh, going to go crawl up in a ball and pray for her.

How sad,and heartbreaking...needs to be by the fire and Christmas tree.Hoping someone can bring her home for the holidays.
