Elizabethtown, NC - WGSD, Adult male, not eating
This guy needs out immediately. He has been there about 10 days and is not doing well at all. He is hardly eating at all and stays curled up in the corner. He has lived life on a chain - owner surrender. No other details. Probably not too old as owner said she couldn't handle him anymore since he got so big. He is breaking my heart.

Silvia says he is extremely fearful and is going to try and spend a little more time with him tomorrow if possible. This boy needs someone who is patient and willing to give him the time and love he needs. His picture has been in my head ALL weekend...

Not looking good. I had taken tomorrow off and had planned to go see this guy. Just found out the vet is coming tomorrow am early to euthanize and the shelter will not open until 1pm to public AND rescues. I feel so helpless.

We can never second-guess who will be put down. There have been others we knew were dog aggressive that seems like were spared forever. Ted knows we have been working hard on this guy the past several days. So maybe he will still be there, curled up in his corner at 1:00.
