Default .3 years after "Zoe's" rescue

I adopted Zoe, renamed Maxine, from a shelter in CT. She was listed here and had come from a neighboring kill shelter

I seemed to have submitted this incorrectly - sorry! Anyway, the good ending is that Maxine is now a therapy dog; comes to work with me every day (psychologist). The clients love her and she is brilliant with interventions; incredibly intuitive.

I'm very proud of her.

How wonderful that Maxine went on to be so loved and so accomplished! Thank you for giving her this chance. She sounds like a terrific girl!

Yes, I am very happy to have the privilege of having Maxine in my life. One of my clients loves here so much she puts down "Jane and Maxine" in her appointment book. When Maxine is not there; ie. at the groomers, people always ask, "where is Maxine?"

One of my favorite and astonishing memories is of Maxine putting her head on the foot of a very traumatized client who is very afraid of touch. Maxine somehow knew that it would be comforting. The client allowed it, didn't seem to notice it, and Maxine remained that way for the rest of the session. I was so impressed by her intuitive abilities.
