I am a municipal animal control officer in CT and last week I picked up a beautiful friendly but very skinny male German
Shepherd near a state forest who wandered into someones house when they opened their door! We impounded him and he is gaining weight and is doing good. His owner hasn't come forward and he will be available for adoption on Friday the 9th. I have become very attached to him and him to me however I have 4 Shepherds and a basenji at home and I would love to find him a home where he will be spoiled rotten and be the center of someone's love. Is there a rescue out there who would be willing to take him in. We don't have the funds from the town to vet him out and I really don't want to let him go to an unfit home where he will not be happy. We will post a pic of him when we can get it up on the internet as the camera is not working right now. I can take a pic of him on my personal camera and email someone if you are interested. Please someone help him as I love him and only want the best for him. Thanks |

I pretty sure North Star can not take in an out of state dog unless it's an owner turn in from a bordering state due to the state regulations.
You might try German Shepherd Rescue of New England: http://gsrne.org/ Photos are always helpful

Where in CT is he? I'd be happy to take pics and post. I'm transporting my foster to the Vernon CT area Saturday morning.

Sydney,
Could you take a picture with your personal camera so we can get his picture up? It's almost essential to post pictures when posting a GSD, I find that they get little to no response if no picture is available. If you need help posting the pic, just whistle! Thank you so much!

Thanks, Sydney! Just wish you could give him that special home he needs, you sound like a great guardian!

I had visited findtoto.com, helping a friend earlier this week... and remembered seeing a German Shepherd listed. They always catch my eye. I have no idea where you are, and realize that you may be in a completely different area than this person. They registered a lost GSD on the 18th
