Hi there,
Got a brand new dehydrator and I'm also brand new to drying foods. Tonight I put sliced (peeled first) sweet potato in it because they love the ones I've been buying. At $16-$20 per 2lb container I decided I needed a much less costly way to give these to them. Now I can do 2lbs for around $5 and once I get the blade sharpened on my food slicer this job will be a breeze! Anxious to get home and see if I have nice slices or sweet potato chips! ![]() Anyone have some favorite dog treats they make in the dehydrator? The easier & quicker the prep time the better! Suzy Homemaker I'm not!

I have never made my own, but here's a thought....I buy treats that are either a stick of sweet potato wrapped with a piece of meat (I get duck, but I would assume you could use any kind)...my dogs also like the ones of banana chips wrapped with chicken and dehydrated.
