predicting the temperament of a dog

My Duke is 3.5 months old male gsd pup with high drive for tug of War and food.
If he is not playing tug of war, he is busy always sniffing the floor (wherever he is) and looking for things to chew and mouth.

His father Leo is a large straight back GSD with very serious attitude and well trained guard Dog.

His mother Tuffy is medium large dog with friendly attitude and calm temperament.

Given these parameters what can one expect of him when he grows into an adult GSD?

I think it would be basically impossible to not only accurately predict what he will be like for sure from his parentage, but from this post as well. Obviously parentage has a lot to do with it, but I'm pretty sure that's only part of the equation...there's also how they're raised etc. I don't think anyone is going to be able to give you a surefire response based on this post, but raise him right and you should be ok.
