Default Puppy attacking my son's ankles and legs

My 9 week puppy seems to go into a frenzy once a day when she flips out and attacks ankles, esp. my son's ankles and pants.

I yelled at him NO! multiple times to no effect.

I pushed her down to the ground twice and he just squirmed free.

I picked her up and help her off the ground and she just continued the frenzy after getting put back down.

She seemed to have a lot of energy to burn so I'm assuming it's just a frenzy that comes to lack of activity. But she really scared me with her behavior today.

Get a trainer.

Use a toy to redirect her. All you are doing is ramping her up. Teach her what is appropriate to play with and what isn't. She will learn that toys are to play with and the game stops when she chews on your son.

When it all gets to much, calmly pick her up and put her in a crate with a chew toy or a kong.

Yup. He is a puppy. He needs more physical and mental excersise. And more naps.

Sometimes an over tired puppy is like and over tired human child. Tantrums abound.

It doesn't sound like "attacking" to me. The puppy is paying. It's normal puppy behavior. I would redirect to toys.
