Super excited? and blood.

I got my puppy a bully stick to try.. and the second I gave it to him, he started chewing.. then he went to take it into his crate to lie down on his BRAND NEW MEMORY FOAM BED THING..! :D

While he's chewing.. he's making all kinds of whining & high pitched noises.. like he's soo excited to be chewing on a bully stick. I also went in to check if he was getting over aggressive or possessive of it and he seemed normal when I was petting him or removing the bully stick.. so are they just super excited oh my god this thing is awesome kinds of noises? or is it something I should be worried about.. because..

when I removed the stick for the night, the bully had some.. pink stuff where he was chewing.. apparently, blood. Could he have been whining from that or.. is it normal for a teething pup to bleed a little while chewing on things? Hopefully he's just making excited puppy noises..

Nothing to worry about. Their gums bleed sometimes when teething. It sounds like he was just having a really good time :)

My pup leaves blood when she chews on stuff. She's lost about half of her teeth so far. Also, the bully sticks turn pink as the dogs chew on them. I assume it is because they are getting rehydrated by the dog's saliva.

Mine is teething and does the same thing, leaves a little pink on the stick. She also talks to it. Cracks me up! :p

Sounds like he REALLY enjoyed it :)

It's very normal for there to be blood when pups are teething, so don't worry :)

Fawn does the same thing! She only makes that high-pitched whistling whine when she has something super tasty or when she yawns. :)
