Leash biting

My 11 month old pup is always trying to bite his leash on walks so I can only use a chain leash! I've tried spraying the "no chew" spray on the regular kong traffic leash but that doesn't seem to bother him not one bit! Using chain leash gets very annoying to hold since they're so heavy. What could I do?!

Maybe some hot sauce? That might sound cruel to some folks...just make sure you have some water handy for him to drink.

If you teach "Leave it" then you can simply tell him to stop. It's such a handy command anyway, why not?
