Protective? 9 months barking at people

Matilda's 9 months old. I've made it a point to socialize her since I got her at 8wks old. She's an Angel usually. My concern is when guests visit the house. She's pretty fierce upon a visitor's arrival. I correct her and keep an eye on her. Yesterday, my daughter had a friend over. Tilda saw the girl go to the fridge and began to bark like "That's ours! Get out of there!" Later on my daughter walked by with her friend. The little girl was flailing her arms behind my daughther. Tilda began to bark again. It was obvious Tilda was guarding my daughter. Is this normal? Im going.to correct it. Any advice would be invaluable

From what I've learned so far, I doubt its protectiveness yet. My pup barks ferociously when he is worried or confused about something.

Some of the experts here will probably chime in with some good advice. Good luck
