Advice on discouraging herding

Our GSD, Scout, is 5 months old now. She does what I am assuming is a herding behavior with our other animals (two cats and two dogs that are considerably smaller than she). It is most likely to occur when the other dogs are going outside...as they move toward the backdoor, she begins to bark at them and will grab the beagle mix around the neck (sometimes actually grabbing his collar) and walk him to the door. She doesn't hurt him, but you can certainly tell that he doesn't like it (She won't touch the dachshund...he's scarred her nose twice now...but she will bark). Other than just intervening and stopping her, is there anything I should be doing to discourage or redirect the urge? Thanks.

It may help if when you go let the dogs out and they move to the back door, that you let Scott out first that way he cannot be herding the others. It may be easier to put Scott on a leash so you can walk him to the door and let him out.
