Hello. New here and need some advice!
Hi everyone. I have an almost 3 month old female purebred. We keep her outside and she poops in a dirt area every time (which is what we want). Her peeing is different however...when were at home and the light are on in the backyard she pees in the grass, when were asleep if she has to go in the middle of the night she goes on a floor mat right in front of our door which is 5 feet from her house. Is she scarred to go all the way to the grass (about 50 feet away)?????
How can I train her to go in a specific spot in the dirt? I've got several different responses and don't know what to follow. Am I supposed to pick her poop up everyday or leave it in the dirt so she knows where to go?
You crate training when this baby is in the house?
And you are outside with her when she goes out, right? Because you just take her to the dirt area, and when she poops/pees you have a praise party, then take her back in the house.
The only way we train our puppies is being right there beside them. Need to have good timing for the praise so it's clear what we want, where we want it, and then they learn when we TEACH.
Have you found any great puppy classes yet? So much fun and a huge help for everything. You looked in our FAQ sections yet?

Good luck! And remember we only add a puppy to our home when we know we have all those free hours a day to be with them, teach them, interact with them, socialize and play with them. When we are with them all those hours then they learn because we've been there to help.
Are you leaving a 3 month old outside all the time? If so then she might be sleeping near the door just to be close to you.
So the almost 3 month old puppy is an outdoor dog? I personally would never have an outdoor dog, especially such a young puppy.
Is she tied up or is the yard fenced?
Is your pup a complete outdoor dog and if so is it sensible for a 12 week pup to be outside as anyone could pinch her at that age
