Dexter is now almost 5 months old, and he loves to play fetch and tug until my arms fall off.
He whines a lot, when we play tug. I know he's teething, but he keeps bringing me his tug toys to play. Once he gets the okay to bite down on the tug he never lets go, until I tell him to. And he just whines the entire time. Should I just remove all tug toys until he's done teething? |

I would. Give him a frozen knotted washcloth to chew instead. He's in full blown teething mode and I'd stop tugging til he's 7 months or so. You want to make sure the teeth coming in aren't shifting during tug time, another reason to limit it. You could still use a flirtpole, but let him win all the time!
