Default What Happened? Suddenly Tess Forgot Everything!

my 6.75 month old GSD has been driving me crazy ever since she was spayed almost 2 weeks ago, her stitches will be removed tomorrow. I have been giving her some exercise but mostly in the house due to all the snow storms we've been having and today there's sleet, snow and rain.... I'm pretty sure that her lack of running around and going for long walks are a big part of the reason why she isn't listening to anything I say. She's also back to biting again, just like she did when she was in her land shark phase. Most likely be six months old isn't helping either.

I'm looking for some type of fun things I can do with her in the house, other than training, which I do every day. Something that will tire her out somewhat, at least until I can get her back outside on the flirt pole or playing frisbee, walking, etc.

She starts her first adventure on Monday and I can't wait. Her trainers mom, who is also a trainer, takes a few dogs out on excursions, hiking, walking trails, swimming etc. They get picked up at the house and taken out for a few hours and then brought home. There's another GSD who is her age that will be starting on Monday too, I can't wait to see how she does. In the meantime, I'm loosing my sanity.....any ideas?

My GSD/Bernese Mtn Dog mix, Harley, was 6 months when I had him neutered. He recovered well from that with no issues. He is definitely more a GSD than Berner in his energy and personality (I had a purebred Berner previously). What I can tell you from my experience and from reading about puppy behaviour is that anywhere from 7-10 months they become the "teenager" and rebel alot. He went to obedience training when he was 5-6 months old and did well. He's a fast learner and super smart. But when he turned 7 or 8 months, it was like he forgot everything....rebellious behaviour, challenged me alot but thankfully, I won those battles as the Alpha and we got through those months but it wasn't always fun. He's now nearly 13 months old and things are much better. Still a rebel at times but nothing like those 3 months of "teenage" behaviour. Hope that helps.

Nose work! If you Google it you can find lots of info on how to train it.
