I had this problem too when Puppy was a wee wee baby.
I got this bowl here, and kept it in her crate. It worked, and she eventually just stopped. I mean, water bowls are only exciting for a little bit. I think qbchottu is the one who introduced it to me actually. Haha. What also worked was only leaving the water bowl for a little bit at a time. But you have to remember to give them water with this method, or else the dog suffers.

Because I dont want water all over my house, and with it being -20 out I dont want her soaking wet all the time and then freeze when she goes outside... Also I dont want it ruining the hardwood floors, so multiple reasons why I SHOULD fight it, also I dont want her to continue this for the rest of her life its bad enough having to always mop up the soaking wet floor right now I dont want to continue doing so

HeeHee Nemo does that, I learned very quickly not to put more water in his inside bowl then I was willing to clean up. Inside I put about a cup at a time and bought a no-tip bowl (he can't pick it up and dump it over).
Outside he has a self refilling bowl, the largest I could find from Tractor Supply. And for some reason he doesn't dig in that one. This summer he will have a kiddie pool to "dig" water all he wants. |

I'm getting Lisl a pool too. Probably won't catch me in it, but she'll like it I'm sure.
